Barangay San Francisco is part of the city of Biñan, province of Laguna, CALABARZON (Region IV-A), Philippines. It is considered the largest Barangay in Biñan which occupies 16.83 percent of the city.
RA 9003 is a declaration to adopt a systematic, comprehensive and ecological solid waste management program and also known as the “Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000”, enacted on January 26, 2001. It addresses the management of solid waste in the country as it is a crucial piece of legislation in address the environmental and health issues in correlation to the improper solid waste management. This law aims to promote a sustainable practice to reducing the impact of solid waste on the environment.
